Inspiration
Measuring progress by time is probably not ideal. You can achieve so much in a short span of time, but you can fail to realize it because you are looking at the time. The value of time is in the work you put in and that goes for the progress too. We are sometimes unrealistic because we measured our progress by other people. This becomes a problem because what we see we try to live up to and think we can do it faster.
There's no real investment put into doing it because it's really not our journey. You are not giving it anything that is authentically you, you are just trying to be like someone. It's really dangerous because it steals time and adds no value to self. We are failing to find truth in people's journeys that's why we are not inspired. We think that it's all an overnight superficial success.
Truth is that there was work put into it, and that's what we fail to see. We see the aftermath of it and think we can be what we see without what was before what is. Nobody just gets to a place of beauty without work. There's work put into it and until we realize it we will believe more in products than work. Consistently working on yourself that's what we need to understand. You can't hold on to so many things if you have no hold on yourself. It starts with you!
Fashion Corner: Look of the week
True inspiration comes from within, it comes from understanding who we are first. We then look outside for things we identify with and make them our own. You see it in you then look like what you see in you.
This week was all about looking like what I see within me. And this look explains it all. My Instagram was buzzing with looks that felt good...
Here's the look of the week:
Musical Being
I have many random worship sessions because I sing a lot. But there are moments where a song brings me to tears because it means so much for a specific time. And this song means a lot for this time. It's a zulu song that translates : there's a song within because you said in your word, "don't be afraid because I am with you in your journey of life," The name Jesus, beautiful name, it completes and makes me sing.
I found God saying don't be afraid for I am with you so relevant for such a time and my journey. It touched me and brought me to tears...
Do enjoy:
My Thoughts
The journey becomes much more pleasant as I work on myself. Lately there's a ring in my life of being instead of doing. I am learning more to be before I do. I best operate when my being is in contact. I am working on myself more and it's allowing me to do right.
Thanks for reading, until next time and please subscribe.
Love you tons
